Secure Web Version 2.0

The new version of Secure Web is here: version 2.0 brings significant, improvements and simplifications to our product.

New Web Interface

We have completely redesigned the administration by using a modern, AJAX based approach, bringing more interactivity, greater usability and additional functionality to our customers.

The new interface seamlessly integrates the appliance solution with the proxy solution, combining both administrative areas into one management tool.

Apart from the new look-and-feel, this interface provides new powerful options:

  • a dashboard gives a quick overview of the activities and the health status of the system(s)
  • configuration wizards guide you through complex setup tasks
  • it simplifies the central management of distributed proxy farms

Virtual Appliance Solution for VMware (OVF)

Similar to the hardware appliance, also the virtual appliance incorporates the full web interface to manage not only the proxy server but also the operating system.

This new virtual appliance is delivered in an Open Virtualization Format (OVF) that can easily be deployed to all VMware products.

See the VMware download page for more details.

Central Management

For the topic of central management we have identified three different scenarios that people are speaking about:

  • Central management of multiple proxy servers in a cluster system
  • Central management of distributed proxy instances
  • Central management of independent proxy installations
